Minister Bui Quang Vinh receives Chairman of the Committee on Rules and Administration of Japan’s House of Representative

(MPI Portal) – In order to promote cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Minister of the MPI Bui Quang Vinh received Mr. Ichiro Aisawa, Chairman of the Committee on Rules and Administration of Japan’s House of Representative on February 6th 2015.

At the meeting opening, Minister Bui Quang Vinh welcomed the visit of Mr. Ichiro Aisawa to the MPI. He highly appreciated good cooperation between Vietnam and Japan and affirmed that Japan is the most important partner, the largest ODA donor and the second biggest investor in Vietnam with 2,494 projects and US$ 37 billion of total registered capital.

The Minister said that in 2014 GDP of Vietnam was estimated to raise 5.98%; average CPI increase 4.09%; export turnover was US$ 150 billion. In 2015, Vietnam will strive to rise by 6.2% of GDP; by 10% of export turnover and by 5% of CPI.

He also said that Vietnam – Japan Joint Initiative has passed 5 phases since 2003, which is an important cooperative channel between Japanese investors and Vietnam Government to improve investment environment. In 2015, it will be deployed the 6th phase.

Mr. Ichiro Aisawa, Chairman of the Committee on Rules and Administration of Japan’s House of Representative desired Vietnam Government to facilitate further for Japanese enterprises to invest in Vietnam. Especially, the two sides should continue to implement Vietnam – Japan Joint Initiative effectively./.
