The two sides expressed their delight at the flourishing Vietnam-United States comprehensive partnership, and assessed that its relations enjoyed positive, practical, comprehensive and substantive development in recent times.

The US currently has 1,270 projects worth about 11.7 billion USD in Vietnam, ranking 11th among 143 countries and territories investing in the country. The US is also one of Vietnam’s largest trading partners.

The two sides affirmed their continued efforts in promoting business and investment activities between the two enterprises in order to lift the Vietnam-US relations on par with their potentials and wish of both high-level leaders and people.

Tuan thanked TAG’s coordination in encouraging US investors to Vietnam over the years, as well as supporting Vietnamese businesses to strengthen their capacity and understanding to invest successfully in the US.

He expressed his hope that the group will continue to assist Vietnam in promoting its investment policies worldwide, and attracting US firms in new fields such as high technology, innovation, and manufacturing chip-semiconductor. The Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Government of Vietnam will accompany foreign investors to ensure their effective production and business process in the country.

Nirav said that US investors always have confidence in Vietnam’s investment climate, and thanked close coordination of Vietnamese agencies, including the MPI. TAG will called for new US investment that align with Vietnam’s development orientation./
