Sharing at the meeting with Richard, Deputy Minister Ngoc said Vietnam aims to become a high-income developed country by 2045. Therefore, the next steps in the country's socio-economic development are crucial and require consultation from experts with objective perspectives, such as the TBI.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) and the TBI have effectively cooperated in recent times, contributing significant inputs such as discussions and recommendations in the draft report on foreign investment promotion in Vietnam as well as the draft report on the international and regional financial centers in Vietnam.

The deputy minister said the ministry wishes for continued support from the TBI to connect with potential investors globally, coordinating surveys on the needs, difficulties, and barriers faced by FDI companies operating in Vietnam, and promoting initiatives to develop Vietnam's entrepreneurial ecosystem and innovation.

The two sides at the meeting also discussed issues of interest to Vietnam, such as the necessary strategies and models to establish a financial center of regional and international caliber. They talked about building investment attraction strategies in key sectors that Vietnam is focusing on, linking with major investors, establishing an innovation fund in Vietnam, and implementing green growth strategies.

Richard, for his part, pledged to continue working closely with the MPI to consult, support in research, evaluate policy impacts, share international experiences, and effectively build policies./.
