(MPI) - A delegation from the Ministry of Planning and Investment led by Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee for Bilateral Cooperation visited the Lao Embassy on November 28 extended congratulations on its 49th National Day (December 2, 1975 - 2024).

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Phuong extended the best wishes to the Embassy of Laos on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the National Day of Laos. He congratulated Laos on its significant and comprehensive achievements in all fields over the past 49 years in its endeavors of national construction, protection, and development.

The deputy minister emphasised that the relationship between Vietnam and Laos has continuously developed in recent years. Among these, cooperation in economy, trade, and investment remains a cornerstone of the bilateral ties, with numerous projects and initiatives having been effectively implemented.

He affirmed that the MPI, as the Vietnam-Laos Cooperation Committee would continue closely coordinating with the Embassy of Laos in Vietnam and relevant agencies to ensure the success of the 47th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee on Bilateral Cooperation. This effort aims to deepen the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations, fostering a long-lasting, sustainable partnership.

For her part, Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh, expressed her gratitude for joining the embassy in celebrating this important anniversary. She highly appreciated the activities and programmes of the two cooperation committees, reaffirming her unwavering support as a bridge to promote the development of Vietnam-Laos relations across all fields, especially in economic, investment, and trade cooperation./.
