At the workshop, both sides exchanged and discussed key issues in Vietnam’s socio-economic development over recent years, presented perspectives as well as proposed solutions to promote the development of the country’s key sectors, including agriculture, industry, construction, and services.

He also shared insights into various economic policies, growth forecasts, inflation trends, and the shifting investment capital flows in the Asia-Pacific region.

The IMF acknowledged Vietnam’s impressive development achievements in recent years and emphasized its readiness to support Vietnam through policy consultations and oversight, offering recommendations for building a well-suited development roadmap.

Nguyen The Ngan, Director of the Department of Finance and Currency, under the MPI spoke highly of the IMF’s assessments, forecasts, and policy recommendations concerning the Asia-Pacific economic situation and Vietnam's development outlook. He also noted the global financial and monetary trends following recent developments and their potential impact on Vietnam.

The MPI recognized the value of the IMF’s recommendations as an important reference for policy formulation, Ngan said, suggesting the IMF to continue its partnership with Vietnam by maintaining dialogue and providing economic policy consultations in the future./.
