Minister Dung stated that the initiative is not only the start semiconductor design training, but also an important step towards Vietnamese mastery of semiconductor technology. This initiative is a crucial way to leverage Vietnam’s human resources as outlined in the country's socio-economic development strategy.

He asked Qorvo to continue supporting research and development (R&D) activities, commercialising innovative semiconductor solutions, and implementing training programmes for students, engineers, and semiconductors researchers.

The minister also asked them to introduce the latest suitable technologies to this industry, provide more scholarships for talented students and foster their passion, equipping students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills.

Minister Dung asserted that Vietnam is one of the fastest growing digital economy in the Southeast Asia with various necessary conditions such as favourable geographical location, a tech-talented young workforce, rapidly modernising infrastructure and drawing attention of many giant tech companies worldwide.

He called on Qorvo and other semiconductors firms and partners continue trusting and expanding cooperation, investment and business operation in Vietnam.

The course offers 40 scholarships and adheres to US standards, utilises Cadence’s specialised software, and is taught bilingually in Qorvo’s experts. Graduates will receive a certificate from NIC and Qorvo, and will have internships and employment opportunities at Qorvo and other leading partner firms in the circuit design sector. Students will attend a three-month intensive sessions at NIC Hanoi, combining theory with practical experience using an industry-standard software, Cadence Virtuoso.

The course enables students cultivate a mindset of continuous learning and creativity, keeping up-to-date with trends in semiconductors to meet the demands of domestic and international electronics and semiconductor industries.

Bob Bruggeworth, Qorvo CEO praised Vietnam’s rapid development in semiconductors and the government’s decisive implementation in building semiconductor ecosystem. He also spoke highly of close direction of the MPI in promoting the semiconductor industry, in particular and high technology in general.

Qorvo is proud to collaborate with NIC in training workforce for this industry in Vietnam, he added, affirming that Qorvo will continue to develop and expand business to create more employment opportunities in the semiconductors.

On this occasion, MPI Minister and Qorvo CEO witnessed the MoU signing between NIC and Qorvo, demonstrating a strategic commitment to advancing Vietnam's semiconductor ecosystem through R&D, high-quality manpower training and scholarship for talented students and engineers./.
