Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Mai held that during her working tenure in Vietnam, Anette has made great contributions to enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially finance, energy, sustainable management of natural resources, response to climate change in coastal areas of the Mekong Delta, healthcare, training and wastewater management.

The comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Germany is developing fruitfully in multiple spheres; projects using non-refundable aid, official development assistance (ODA) capital and concessional loans from the German Government have made great contributions to the socio-economic development, response to climate change and green growth in Vietnam.

Mai hoped that KfW will continue to support Vietnam mobilising resources and implementing projects reached by both sides; asking Anette continue making contributions enhancing the cooperative ties in any position.

Expressing his honour to receive the insignia, Anette highlighted the growing relationship between Vietnam and Germany, which has developed substantively across multiple fields in recent times and brought practical benefits to both people.

She thanked the MPI and Vietnamese partners for their support during her tenure to accelerate the implementation of projects as well as timely remove facing difficulties and obstacles. She affirmed that in any position, she will do her utmost to nurture the bilateral relations./.
