(MPI) - Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc hosted a reception in Hanoi on September 5 for Rafael Frankel, Director of Public Policy for Southeast Asia at the Meta Group.

Deputy Minister Ngoc praised Meta’s close coordination with the MPI’s National Innovation Center (NIC) to promote innovation and digital transformation activities in Vietnam.

The deputy minister asked Meta to continue working with the NIC to realise the cooperation agreement signed in 2022, towards expanding the innovation network and seeking more innovative solutions for Vietnam’s sustainable development.

She affirmed that the ministry will provide the most favorable conditions for Meta to invest and do long-term and sustainable business in Vietnam.

Rafael, for his part, said that Meta is proud to become a reliable partner of the MPI for the last 2 years, and has seriously and effectively implement the cooperation agreement.

He highlighted that the Vietnam Innovation Challenge, a programme in collaboration of Meta and MPI’s NIC, is drawing more attention of corporations, enterprises and startups to search for innovative solutions and advanced technology that will contribute significantly to the prosperity and sustainability of Vietnam. Rafael also noted that Meta stays ready to cooperation comprehensively with Vietnamese agencies in the time head for further activities./.
