Deputy Minister Dong suggested both sides consider to further cooperate while receiving visiting Kwangmin Lyou.
Vietnam’s strong commitments at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) is to be carbon-neutral by 2050, respond to climate change and transform energy structure. SK Group should continue to support and coordinate to invest in the fields of SK’s strengths and Vietnam’s needs such as renewable energy, clean energy, green energy and high technology, the deputy minister noted.
Besides, Vietnamese businesses are actively participating in the innovation process with high-tech and eco-friendly projects. The deputy minister hoped that SK Group will exchange experience and promote cooperation with Vietnamese businesses to expand investment in above fields.
Vietnam pledges to create optimal conditions for SK Group to promote investment projects in Vietnam. As the state management agency of foreign investment, the MPI will continue closely coordinate with SK Group to have concrete and practical investment activities, Deputy Minister Dong emphasised.
In reply, Kwangmin Lyou said that SK Group will seek investment opportunities in Vietnam, making contribution to Vietnam’s commitments of being carbon-neutral by 2050.
He wishes to foster cooperation with Vietnam in potential fields such as technology development, renewable energy and training high-quality human resources./.
