Minister Dung said in addition to the efforts of Vietnamese businesses and effective policies, mechanisms of the government, it is crucial for Vietnam to cooperate with foreign businesses, including RoK through KBIZ to participate in value and supply chains, especially in supporting industries.
He hoped KBIZ will continue to promote RoK small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to further invest in Vietnam and connect the two countries’ businesses. It is also anticipated to become bridge to boost cooperation between Vietnam and RoK, towards the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam-RoK diplomatic ties (1992-2022). The Government of Vietnam and the Ministry of Planning and Investment will accompany and support RoK businesses to do business in Vietnam, the minister noted.
A majority of Vietnamese firms are small and medium sizes but most of them have limited capacity in terms of technology, management, human resource training; while RoK enterprises have advantages and are joining global and supply chain. Vietnam looks for RoK’ support and cooperation in human resource training, technology transfer and coordination with large corporations to join the global and supply chain, bringing benefits for both sides, the minister said.
