Deputy Minister Ngoc spoke highly Niigata’s efforts to promote investment in Vietnam, especially in the fields where the prefecture has strengths and Vietnam has demands such as manufacturing industry, supporting industries, high-tech electronic components production, agriculture, and forestry and fishery.

The two sides had established the Niigata Support Desk, placing at the MPI to enhance investment and economic exchange.

The deputy minister said, the prefecture’s companies investing in Vietnam remains modest. She called on the Japanese side to expand cooperation, organise business forum with Vietnamese localities in order to have joint projects and strengthen connections among enterprises of Niigata and Vietnam, contributing to bolstering ties between the two countries.

Ngoc said she hopes Niigata will have support policies for Vietnamese workers at local factories and create optimal conditions for them to work successfully.

At the same time, she asked Japanese investors and those of Niigata to promote innovation and startup activities and invest in the National Innovation Center (NIC), MPI.

The MPI stands ready to create favorable conditions for businesses from Niigata to invest successfully and sustainably in Vietnam.

Agreeing with the MPI deputy minister, Niigata Governor highlighted the important role of cooperation among localities in the overall ties between Vietnam and Japan.

Hanzumi affirmed, the prefecture will have activities to strengthen connections with Vietnamese localities, promote activities through the Niigata Desk and encourage local companies to invest more in Vietnam, contributing to the joint development./.
